After much consideration, the thought has crossed my mind that perhaps we should put some limitation on abilities. Not just that, but to also implement minor stat points in order to see how these abilities of ours will deal damage to others. So, I decided to go with a ranking/leveling system for Bound to Tomorrow. This system will help when it comes to fighting other players as well as NPCs. As to how it will work, well...
Once you register and complete your character application, a staff member will come along to check your work. Much like a teacher grades a test, we will decide what rank your abilities/weapons/powers will start at. Example: If we deem your Yōkai character worthy enough to have a Rank B skill, your character will be placed at the first available level of that rank- level 12. This means your Yōkai will begin with 2,160HP.
You will gain experience for every RP post you make, which will eventually grant you a level. With leveling comes an increase to your character's health pool, which will help in surviving attacks, as well as the chance to upgrade or learn an attack of a higher ranking. Weapons are also included with the ranking system, as most come with abilities of some sort. If a weapon is just a typical type of deal, it will be placed in the lowest rank, E.
If your character has no attacks, abilities, or weapons, you will be left ungraded and placed at the typical health pool of your race(level 1). Personal and defensive abilities work by reducing damage or even increasing it. Each race will start with a basic health pool, but can obtain a few extra points to this stat through a variety of ways. Experience will also be used as a type of currency. You will be able to spend it in order to gain boosts to health, defense, attack, or even other goodies. However, until a shop thread is created, none of this will be accessible.
